Leah Linn Counseling

About

Individuals. Couples. Intensives.

Background

From a young age I have had a deep desire to help others, particularly in the same areas where I have experienced pain. I was fortunate to find the field of psychology and then counseling early on, though it was not until my mid thirties that I found my way to using my education directly.

Shortly after graduate school I found myself working as a tech recruiter in Seattle, but that didn’t quite fit. After that, and for almost the next entire decade, I worked in various finance roles in higher education. While I enjoyed talking with students, I found budgets and board meetings to be soul-crushing for me. One day this tiny voice from within reminded me of my first love and early passion to help others with their pain.

The past several years my practice has given me a new perspective on therapy and has taught me what works and what doesn’t. I have found that we need not only a plan but also tools and resources to navigate life outside of the therapy room. Most of the tools and resources that I offer are from my own experiences and are ways that have helped me grow.
